Rawrrrr. I need new headshots! And since I do, I might as well use those for my senior ad. BUT I still need to go to the senior photos people. Dumb. They won’t even give you rights to the images! You have to buy each and every print from them, as the images that they’ll give you in a CD are low-resolution, and the CD only comes free after a $499 purchase! I’d much rather spend that much money on great headshots + great prints.

Anyway, I should probably figure out my “type” before I go in and get headshots taken again! All the CDs I’ve seen (in different workshops) have told me completely different things, so I’m really confused at this point in my [relatively nonexistent] career. I wish that the professional work being cast down here in SoFlo called for more people like me (meaning, not a “sexy Hispanic or Caucasian female”). And when are those Actor Slate people coming here?! I don’t have a reel, so I really need a slate. I hate living here. I love my agent, but it seems like this market really just doesn’t need Asian people like me. Not to mention student or indie film projects that ask for my type! That’s why I’m going to move to LA right after high school. It’ll also be much easier to find acting classes that meet regularly, special CD workshops, etc. I can deal with the fact that I’m not actually working right now (how many people my age, who are still in school, are?), but I’m definitely not OK with the fact that I can’t go to as many classes and workshops here than I could in Chicago.

I shall practice my piano skills now. Apparently, I’m the new “student conductor” of my school chorus. Teaching uninterested high schoolers their parts? Fun… But at least I get to yell at them and wave my hand around! I should probably practice my hand waving again too… Down, in, out, up. Down, in, out, up.

I just discovered that the entire Lord of the Rings is available in the Kindle store as one download! AHHHHHHH PERFECT EXCUSE TO REREAD :]

Still reading Emma. It’s a wonderful book, but unfortunately I haven’t gotten much time to read nowadays :[ But I also need to be (re)reading Pride and Prejudice soon! :D Oh… and that How to Read Literature Like A Professor book :/

In other news, I really want some salted caramels. I just recently discovered them! I had the smoked salt caramels from Fran’s (apparently a chocolatier in Seattle). SO GOOD. I’m totally going to order a box of those soon :] OH! I also need to order a container of Hammond’s caramel-coated marshmallows ;) om nom nom

Ahora estoy leyendo Emma de Jane Eyre. ¡Es un buen libro! Terminé The Perks of Being A Wallflower de Stephen Chbosky ayer. Es un buen libro también, pero el final me confundió un poco.

Necesito leer Pride and Prejudice o Jane Eyre este verano para mi clase de literatura el año que viene. ¡Voy a leer Pride and Prejudice porque es mi libro favorito! Voy a esperar a leerlo en el verano porque primero quiero terminar Emma y después lee Cyrano de Bergerac (de Edmond Rostand).

Amo la película Pride and Prejudice, pero no he visto Emma todavía. Voy a alquilar en Netflix. :]
